Introduction

Crackers are a popular snack all around the world. They come in different flavors and shapes. Peanut crackers are one of the most popular types of crackers that people love to munch on. They are crunchy and savory, and they are perfect as a snack or an appetizer. Making peanut crackers at home is easy and fun, and you can customize the flavor to your liking.

Ingredient

To make peanut crackers, you will need the following ingredients: - 1 cup of all-purpose flour - 1/2 cup of roasted and salted peanuts, chopped - 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened - 1/4 cup of water - 1/2 tsp of salt - 1/2 tsp of sugar - 1/4 tsp of paprika - 1/4 tsp of cumin

Substitutions

If you are allergic to peanuts, you can substitute them with any other nuts of your choice, such as almonds, cashews, or pecans. You can also omit the nuts altogether and make plain crackers. If you are vegan, you can use vegan butter instead of regular butter.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, chopped peanuts, salt, sugar, paprika, and cumin. Mix well. 3. Add the softened butter to the bowl and mix with your hands until the mixture resembles coarse sand. 4. Gradually add the water to the bowl, a tablespoon at a time, and knead the dough until it comes together. You may not need all the water, or you may need a little more, depending on the humidity in your kitchen. 5. Once the dough is smooth, roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm). 6. Use a cookie cutter or a sharp knife to cut the dough into the desired shapes. You can make small round crackers or larger ones, depending on your preference. 7. Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Prick the tops of the crackers with a fork to prevent them from puffing up. 8. Bake the crackers in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. 9. Once the crackers are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. 10. Transfer the crackers to a wire rack to cool completely.
