- 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Follow these steps to make Chicago chilli:- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, tomato paste, beef broth, chilli powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
