- 500ml beef stock
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 sheets of shortcrust pastry
- 1 egg, beaten

Here's how to make the best steak pie: 1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. 2. Heat some oil in a large pan and add the onions, carrots, and celery. Cook for 5-10 minutes until softened. 3. Add the garlic and cook for a further minute. 4. Add the stewing steak and cook until browned on all sides. 5. Sprinkle over the cornflour and stir well. 6. Add the beef stock, bay leaf, dried thyme, tomato puree, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and bring to the boil. 7.
