Step 1: Preparing the Rice
1. Rinse the sushi rice in cold water until the water runs clear. 2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and 1 ¼ cup of water. 3. Bring the rice to a boil over high heat. 4. Once it boils, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. 5. Cook the rice for 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. 6. In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. 7. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve. 8. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl. 9. Pour the vinegar mixture over the rice and mix gently. 10. Let the rice cool to room temperature.Step 2: Preparing the Salmon
