- 6 cardamom pods

- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Here are the steps to make the tikka masala paste:- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick. Toast the spices for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove the spices from the skillet and let them cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, grind the spices in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle until they are a fine powder.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ground spices, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the grated ginger, minced garlic, tomato paste, and olive oil.
