For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:- 2 whole sea bass, gutted and scaled (around 400g each)
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 red chilli, thinly sliced
- 1 small bunch of fresh coriander
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Optional Ingredients
If you want to add more flavour to your sea bass, you can also include the following ingredients:- 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to create this delicious sea bass recipe:- Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.
- Score the sea bass on both sides with a sharp knife, making sure not to cut too deep.
- Stuff the cavity of the fish with the garlic slices, chilli slices, and coriander.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Brush the fish with the vegetable oil and place them onto a baking tray.
- Drizzle the soy sauce mixture over the fish and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with extra coriander and lime wedges before serving.
Optional Instructions
If you decide to add the optional ingredients, follow these additional steps:- In a small saucepan, mix together the ginger, brown sugar, and rice vinegar.
- Heat the mixture over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
- Drizzle the mixture over the fish before baking in the oven.
