Follow these simple steps to make gammon ham:Step 1: Prepare the Gammon Joint
Place the gammon joint in a large pot and cover with water. Add the onions, garlic, bay leaves and peppercorns. Bring to the boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the gammon is cooked through.Step 2: Glaze the Gammon Joint
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Remove the gammon joint from the pot and let it cool slightly. Remove the skin from the gammon joint, leaving a thin layer of fat.
