Ingredient

To make a delicious Lasagna, you will need the following ingredients:

For the Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

For the Cheese Filling

  • 1 container of ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Lasagna

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Now that we have all the ingredients, let's get started with the recipe:

Step 1: Cook the Noodles

Preheat your oven to 375°F. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them and set them aside.

Step 2: Make the Meat Sauce

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it's no longer pink. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onions are soft. Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, basil, and oregano to the skillet. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Make the Cheese Filling

In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4: Assemble the Lasagna

Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place three cooked lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce. Spread 1/3 of the cheese filling over the noodles. Sprinkle 1/3 of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the cheese filling. Repeat this layering two more times, ending with a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

Step 5: Bake the Lasagna

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let the lasagna cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
